Intense ruby red with purple highlights. On the nose, fruity aromas of cherry and plum, followed by spicy notes of black pepper and nutmeg. Balsamic notes of mint and eucalyptus completed by a hint of chocolate and a pleasant note of blond tobacco in the finish. Sweet and silky tannins that then become velvety and large. A well-balanced wine whose supporting acidity and tannins prevail over alcohol. The taste starts with very pleasant fresh plums. Long aromatic persistence with a finish of fresh plums and a hint of graphite.

Vinification: The carefully selected grapes (50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc) were grown in the estate`s best vineyards at altitudes of 180 to 200 m a.s.l. The different grape varieties were vinified separately; fermentation and maceration took place in stainless steel tanks for about 25/30 days at a controlled temperature never over 28/30°C. The wine was then transferred into mainly new 225L French oak barriques (Allier and Troncais) where malolactic fermentation was completed and it was aged for further 18 months. After the blending the wine undergoes further 12 months of bottle fining before the release on the market.
