An elegant and balanced wine with excellent structure and great ageing potential. Ruby red in colour with pleasurable hints of red fruit, cherry and blackberry on the nose. On the palate, Cresasso is rich with notes of stewed plums and jam. Smooth tannins, great alcohol content and long length.

Vinification: The Corvina vineyards are located in Zenato's Costalunga Estate in Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella in Verona. The vines are cordon-trained and spur pruned with an average age of 10 years. The grapes are hand picked when slightly overripe towards the end of October and placed in small 5kg crates. On arrival at the winery the grapes are stalked and crushed. They are then slow fermented on the skins followed by continuous pumping over for about 25 days at a temperature of 25/26C. The wine is then matured for 18 months in 500 litre French oak tonneaux.
