Very deep, bright ruby red in colour. Full, close-knit, rich, complex, warm and fruity on the nose, with notes of ripe red berry fruit, plum, cherry and blueberry jam, cocoa powder and tastiness with faint hints of balsam and a barely discernible nuance of grass. Broad, generous, warm and fruity on the palate with hints of ripe red fruit, jams (prune, cherry and blueberry) and a slight note of herbs. Full, warm, full-bodied, elegant whilst rounded, soft and an extraordinary aromatic finish.

Vinification: The grapes are hand harvested and placed in wooden boxes and immediately chilled to retain maximum fruit freshness. On arrival at the winery the grapes are softly pressed by pneumatic presses. The Merlot grapes then undergo a spontaneous, slow fermentation. The resulting wine is then refined in small oak casks for 18 months and then finally placed in large casks where the wine lays for a month. There follows filtration and ageing in the bottle for at least 6 months.
