The Red Blend shows typical lifted Cabernet aromas of mulberry, with bright red and black fruits. The palate is built with layers with the impact of Syrah adding mid-palate complexity, while the Merlot is giving a red fruit component and silkiness. The predominate varietal to this wine is Cabernet which builds in added texture and persistence, with some fine grain tannins and vibrant acidity. Great cellaring potential.

Vinification: Whole bunches were hand harvested, de-stemmed into open fermenters. A delicate approach during fermentation with pump overâs and hand plunging employed to gentle extraction of colour, flavour and tannins. Extended maceration on skins for 2-4 weeks has built this wine, giving layers to the palate and a soft tannin profile. The wine was matured in fine French barriques with 20% new for 10 months before bottling.
