Bright garnet red in colour. Intense and complex on the nose with fruity overtones conjuring up plums and blackberries, spicy hints of vanilla and roasted hazelnuts. Full bodied yet soft and velvety tannins. A big yet very flavoursome wine and an exceptional example of Barbaresco.
Vinification: Vinification starts at the end of September and the beginning of October, where destemmed grapes ferment on the skins in heat-controlled steel tanks for 7 to 15 days. The wine is then aged in 3rd use barriques for 36 months, followed by 10 months in the bottle before the wine is released on to the market.
